Does Your Skin Have a Youthful Glow

What is Exfoliation and Why Do You Want to Do It Daily

Exfoliation removes the dead cells, allowing the pores to absorb nutrients. The process will refine the top layers of skin, making pores appear smaller. Another added treat is that it increases the oxygen and circulation in the skin. This gives the skin a healthy, radiant glow.

Exfoliation is done with a brush, abrasive cloth, chemical or ingredients like salt, sugar or mud scrubs.

New Jersey dermatologist Avnee Shah, M.D., says A LOT of us are honorary members of the over-scrubbers club.

Don’t Over Do It!

You can tell you’re over-exfoliating if your skin becomes red and starts to peel or flake, says Shah. Which is ironic, peeling skin might make you think that you’re seeing results, or need to exfoliate even more. But in fact, it’s a sign that you need to slow your roll.

Should You Brush?

For a gentle but effective daily exfoliation, removal of makeup, dead skin cells, toxins & grim in NYC I recommend the Lumi Spa.  In 2 min you have removed your makeup, exfoliated and given your skin a treatment that leave it glowing and ready to absorb your serum & moisturizer.  Skin looks hydrated, fine lines are diminished with healthier skin that is luminescent.

To understand why brushes and abrasive cloths are damaging to your skin and can cause skin sensitivity watch this YouTube video.

With specialized cleansers for Normal/combo; Sensitive; Dry; Acne; or Oily there is something for every skincare need.
